Themes
Select one of these themes when submitting your creative business idea. Themes are organized by tracks.
Food & Beverage Themes
Create a platform that connects local food producers with restaurants and consumers.
Local food producers struggle to reach restaurants and consumers, while restaurants and consumers want access to fresh, local ingredients. The supply chain is fragmented and inefficient. A platform is needed that connects local producers directly with restaurants and consumers, handles ordering and logistics, provides transparency about sourcing, supports local economies, reduces transportation costs, and makes it easy for everyone to access fresh, locally-produced food.
Develop a solution that helps restaurants reduce food waste through better inventory management.
Restaurants waste significant amounts of food due to poor inventory management, inaccurate demand forecasting, and lack of real-time visibility into stock levels. This waste impacts profitability and sustainability. A solution is needed that provides smart inventory tracking, predictive analytics for demand forecasting, automated ordering, expiration date management, waste tracking, and actionable insights to help restaurants optimize inventory, reduce waste, and improve profitability.
Build a recipe platform that helps users create meals based on available ingredients.
Consumers often have ingredients at home but don't know what to cook with them, leading to food waste and repetitive meals. Recipe platforms don't effectively help users discover recipes based on what they already have. A platform is needed that allows users to input available ingredients, suggests recipes that use those ingredients, provides substitutions, helps reduce food waste, offers meal planning, and makes cooking more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
Create a tool that tracks food safety and quality throughout the supply chain.
Food safety incidents and quality issues can have serious health and business consequences. Current tracking systems are fragmented and lack real-time visibility. A comprehensive tool is needed that tracks food products from farm to table, monitors temperature and storage conditions, provides real-time alerts for safety issues, maintains detailed records for traceability, helps prevent contamination, and ensures food quality and safety throughout the entire supply chain.
